Celebrating Earth Day and Building Our Community!
On Tuesday, we started the week by learning all the different ways we can represent the number 3. We used objects, drawings, and numbers to show our understanding. We also had our Earth Day assembly done by the grade 3s and 4s! The students were excited to learn about ways we can take care of our planet. On Wednesday, I was away, but the class had a wonderful day with a lovely substitute teacher, Ms. Sinclair. They learned how to write the letter Ww and practiced forming it correctly. Ms. Sinclair said they were a fantastic group and worked really hard! On Thursday, we talked about what a community is and what kinds of places and people we see in communities. We discussed how each of us is an important part of our own community. The students completed a fun worksheet all about themselves, highlighting their interests and what makes them special.
