Exploring Emotions and Letters: A Fun-Filled Week in Kindergarten
Hello Kinder Families!
We had another fun and busy week in kindergarten!
This week, we began by learning about the feeling angry. We read the book "When I Am Feeling Angry" and discussed what might make us feel angry. We talked about how it’s okay to feel angry, as long as we don’t hurt ourselves or others. The class shared some thoughtful ideas about different ways to calm down when we feel this way—like taking deep breaths, counting to 10, or asking for help.
On Tuesday, we practiced writing the letter C! We explored what sound it makes and thought of words that begin with this letter. The children were excited to share words like cat, cake, and car.
Wednesday was all about creativity and math! We worked on our January self-portraits and compared them to the ones we made earlier in the year—it’s amazing to see how much everyone has grown in their drawing skills! Afterward, we played a fun math game that helped us practice counting and recognizing numbers.
On Thursday, we wrapped up our focus on the letter C by revisiting our "alphabet soup." The children had a great time identifying and adding more words to our growing collection of letters and sounds.
Next week, we’re looking forward to introducing a new letter, continuing our learning about emotions, and diving into more hands-on activities!
Thank you for your continued support!
Cheers,
Ms.Infante
