This Week in Kindergarten!

This Week in Kindergarten... We had a fun and busy week filled with learning, creativity, and exploration!
On Monday, we wrapped up our letter C lesson. We opened our Alphabet Soup and found a cake, a cat, candy, and both the uppercase and lowercase Cc! The kids were excited to come up with many more words that start with the letter C. They also practiced identifying and saying the /c/ sound with confidence.
On Tuesday, we created snowman art and worked on name recognition by counting the number of letters in our names. Each child wrote their letters on paper snowballs and then assembled them into a snowman! It was wonderful to see their creativity shine as they added their own unique details to their snowmen.
On Wednesday, we explored the feeling of being scared as part of our emotional learning. The children shared things that make them feel scared and discussed different ways to manage those feelings. It was a great opportunity for them to express their emotions and build social-emotional awareness.
On Thursday, we dove into learning about the square! We explored the properties of squares, found square-shaped objects around the classroom, and created our own square-inspired art. The kids enjoyed hands-on activities that helped them recognize and describe the shape in their environment. It was a fantastic week of learning, and we can’t wait for what’s next! Cheers, Ms.Infante
